Scholarships When the Pro Football Camp was created, the core concept of the founders' desire was to have a camp that was available to all kids, not just those who could afford it. In the first two years, 111 scholarships were provided to children in need (27% of attendees). In 2008, 81 scholarships were provided (36% of attendees). Just last year, 124 scholarships were provided. In total the Pro Football Camp has been able to give scholarships to 316 kids and an experience to remember. Testimonials from a few kids who have received scholarships: From Jose: "It was a great experience. They taught me about teamwork, and about how you can overcome any challenge if you stick to it and never give up on yourself." From Shawn: "The camp helped me to get along better with others and to see that if I work with someone as a team...At Camp, you learn new things, meet new friends, and REAL NFL players, and have a lot of fun. I'm so glad I got to go. I learned a lot of basic things that I didn't know about football. I love the game too."
Worthy kids can earn scholarships by submitting an essay, a letter of reference and a copy of the letter that approves you for the school lunch program or attach a letter from your church pastor that states you are a family who could use the assistance of a scholarship.
